I think..my first manga would be Fushigi Yuugi. In fact, the Fushigi Yuugi anime was the thing that introduced me to anime/manga in general.

My first manga was sailor moon and later dragonball xDD

The first manga I ever got was for SailorMoon (Japanese version) I was soo into SailorMoon because of the cartoons that where being shown in PuertoRico at the time.

I got into Manga thanks to my best friend in High School, she dad totally encouraged her love of Japanese anime and managa that her room was full of boxes with manga in neat sleeves, he would also take her to the comic store every weekend and since I practically lived in their house for a whole year ( her mom was soo cool and always wanted me to stay the weekend). I got exposed to a lot of different genears and artists.

Once I got my first manga, I was addicted to collecting.. and I learn from my best friend how to store, categorize and keep record of them ( she was a full blown Otaku and she made me into one! lol).

My best friend took after the character Gally/Alita (from Gunm) and everyone in our manga club ( yeah we even started our own club) said I took after Usagi so to this day when I speak to any of them, they call me Usagi and I call my best pal Gally.
I know its cheesy!

Since then I have had to give up on collecting manga.
#1 money
#2 there are other things that take up my interests too *winks at her man*
#3 Work and school totally drain me lol. So thanks to my pal Gally introducing me to scanlations this year.. I am back on my manga addiction…eeek! lol
