Lol, Momogiri.
Well, I've been unable to find a class around here, but my university has them so I'll be starting in the spring (hopefully).
I've practiced hiragana+katakana, and for hardly using them I know them pretty quick off the top of my head. One thing I like is to look at websites in Japanese. The best way I've found (if using winXP) is to just install the Eastern language support. Then all browsers and the filesystem will show the Japanese UTF characters.
I thought that learning 2000+ kanji seems really difficult, but I saw a layout of the 7 Jouyou (i think its the name) and it doesn't look as intimidating when they are all together.
There is this aweseom site for all languages; it doesn't really teach them, but it explains approaches to learning and the difficulties. I lost the link
Well here are some others.
Language ResourcesTutorials on the net don't seem that bad, because most standard stuff can be learned that way, but I feel speaking experienced and hard studying is necessary if you want to excel.
Is anyone interested in the teaching program in Japan?
