Destiny is like Hope for many people...

just look around you... many people create Hope because they need it to survive...

Yuuri already said that. She clearly said destiny is man-made and people use that term for them to strive to their goals.

Not true. I can live my life very well without even thinking of destiny.

Destiny and Hope are both the same... they r both created by US just to satisfy ourselves and to help us lift the fear that plagues us all...

Again, not true. Hope doesn't plague my fear in any manner. In fact, hope makes me more nervous and plagues me into more fear.

'What will happen when we die?'

Well think of this theory. We go to heaven. It has been clearly pointed out in our religion. If you want to debate against religions, I will be happy to do so as I have done it in other forums.

so Kevin, Yuuri... in the end... Destiny is just something that we believe that will change us in life... whether its for the good or the bad...

Destiny will not change us in life. Destiny IS our life. Hope predetermines our destiny in some terms, in which sculptures the events in life. As my definition states, you are correct. Destiny is an unsolid term made by man, but the way you define it shows how afraid of death you really are.

Well, personally, I'd say that "destiny", "fate", and "luck" are just loose terms. How else would we describe something such as that? It just so happens that people sometimes take the words too seriously/literal (we probably have the context to blame )

But a little food for thought:
What makes you think that everything is/can be controlled by us or others around us? Perhaps it's "destiny" that's controlling our actions and thoughts..
Such as.. why would we have a sudden impulse to do something when we normally wouldn't?

if destiny is sumthing that can control us then doesn't this touch on do we have free will?
becoz if destiny controls us then we have no free will.

and i think hope is sumthing that drives destiny but not destiny itself.
if u hope sumthing then u want to do everything u can to get/keep it. thus ur mapping out ur destiny with the hope u have.

Clearly, destiny cannot control us. We also cannot control destiny. So you ask, how does destiny take part in our lives?

Destiny follows us in every action and the resultant of our actions, would be called our destiny. Like momogiri said; destiny, luck and fate are very loose terms because they don't exist physically. It's all in our mind. I'm just giving a clear definition to one of the most important factors of life: Destiny or, the story of our lives.

Well, you must have a strong desire for your goals. If you depend your life on it, you'll probably meet that special girl.

And I must question you in deep curiosity, how do you describe this lonely cage of yours Daryl?
